Monica graduated from Curtin University in 2015 with a Master of Physiotherapy. She completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology and Human Biology subjects at the University of Western Australia prior her Masters degree.
Monica has worked at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospital in acute and rehab settings including Neurology, Cardiopulmonary and Geriatrics. She has also worked in a private practice and residential aged care setting so she has a breadth of skills across multiple areas. This gives her a very holistic approach to Physiotherapy care.
She has a special interest in Mental Health and practices trauma informed care. She deeply understands the relationship between physical and mental health and is skilled in motivational interviewing to inspire individuals who may need a bit more encouragement to participate in therapy. She is also passionate about falls prevention and helping individuals achieve meaningful goals to live their best lives.
Outside of Physiotherapy Monica enjoys spending time with her young family, doing any ocean activity and keeping active.
